BIOCHAR

FOR AGRICULTURE, POULTRY AND INDOOR PLANTING

MORE ABOUT BIOCHAR

Biochar is a dark carbon rich substance produced from the pyrolysis of biomass, meaning it's created by heating organic matter (like wood, manure, or crop residues) in a oxygen deficit environment. It's a stable form of carbon and is often used as a soil amendment to improve soil health and potentially sequester carbon.

BENEFITS AND APPLICATION METHODOLOGY OF BIOCHAR

For Crop & Plants

For Crop & Plants

For Crop & Plants

Plants

Benefits

  • Enhance soil nutrient retention
  • Improves soil water retention
  • Boost crops yield up to 30%
  • Supports microbial growth
  • Balance soil pH
  • Stable organic matter & long residual life
  • Reduce fertilizer use
  • Traps heavy metals to freely flow in soil

Application Methodology

  • Charge the Biochar with fertilizer overnight (crucial activity)
  • 2 ton/ acre to be spread in topsoil before sowing or planting
  • For top dressing spread in the surface of the soil
  • For planting hole mix 10-20% of Biochar before transplanting
  • For seed treatment, dip the seeds into 20% Biochar solution before sowing
  • For tree crops, scrape topsoil and mix it with 20-30% Biochar and re-dress

For Poultry

For Crop & Plants

Poultry

Benefits

  • Improves digestion
  • Enhance feed efficiency
  • Reduce E.Coli infestation
  • Reduce dependence on antibiotics
  • Absorbs ammonia
  • Controls moisture
  • Minimize odour
  • Lowers mortality rate
  • Improves feed conversion ratio (FCR)

Application Methodology

  • Mix 2% of Biochar in poultry feed to eliminate E. Coli infestation
  • 10-20% v/v to be added in bedding material like saw dust or rice husk

For Environment & Climate

For Environment & Climate

For Environment & Climate

Climate

  • Benefits
  • Carbon sequestration (absorbs atmospheric CO2)
  • Reduce greenhouse gases
  • Improves soil organic carbon (SOC)
  • Supports biodiversity
  • Transform waste into value

Application Methodology

  • Regular application of Biochar in our kitchen garden, indoor plants, crop fields, water bodies will support the revitalization of surrounding ecosystem.

For Odour Management

For Environment & Climate

For Environment & Climate

Benefits

  • Adsorption of gases like ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and make the micro atmosphere odour free
  • Chemical binding with odorants
  • Reduces odour related health risks

Application Methodology

  • By hanging the small cotton or jute pouches filled with dry Biochar in rooms and car will reduce the odour.
  • Sun drying of the pouches in every 15 days will reactivate the Biochar for continued use.
